In addition to the engagement in the Michelin Le Mans Cup that has already been announced, the Frikadelli Racing team will again contest the races of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in the 2022 season. The new GT3 Cup Porsche 992 with around 510 hp will be used. At the wheel of the car, team manager Klaus Abbelen and "Jules" will take turns as regular drivers, Felipe Laser will be strengthening the duo at the start of the season.

“During the test and set-up runs, we successfully completed the first kilometers on the Nürburgring Nordschleife last weekend. The test was very good, everything worked without any problems and we also found a first setup. Now we are looking forward to the start of the season next Saturday. Since many teams rely on the new Porsche, we will certainly have exciting races ahead of us,” Abbelen looks ahead.

"Jules", who has been at the start for Frikadelli Racing since 2019, is taking his next career step in motorsport with this commitment. So far, the Brit has been very successful in the Cup3 class with a Porsche Cayman GT4. Here he secured the championship title in the "Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey Racing (Type 981)" for the Frikadelli team together with Hendrik von Danwitz in his first year. With the successor model, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport (Type 982), he was able to impress again and again and achieved numerous podium places in the class. With the promotion to the higher class, the next big challenge is waiting for him.

“The new one-make cup within the NLS promises a great deal of excitement in view of the strong field of participants that is emerging. For me it will already be my fourth year together with Frikadelli Racing. I feel incredibly comfortable in the team and am convinced that the team always prepares my vehicle perfectly,” says “Jules”.

The starting signal for the first run of the NLS will be on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. The race covers a distance of four hours and will be broadcast live.
