Ready for the third participation in the "Road to Le Mans"

Almost three weeks after the great triumph at the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring, the next big highlight of the season awaits the Frikadelli Racing team with the “Road to Le Mans”. At the Circuit de la Sarthe, Felipe Laser and team boss Klaus Abbelen want to continue their strong performance from the season opener of the Michelin Le Mans Cup with the #30 Ligier JS P320. In Barcelona at the end of April, the driver duo clinched eighth place overall, the best team result so far in the race series with a large number of participants.

“We could be more than satisfied with our start to the season in Barcelona. Our goal is to also fight for a top 10 place at Le Mans with a similarly good strategy. We will give everything for this and are already looking forward to the upcoming weekend”, says team manager Klaus Abbelen.

In 2021, Frikadelli Racing was able to finish tenth overall at the "Road to Le Mans" debut, and last year the team from Barweiler was also in the top 10 for a long time after a catch-up race worth seeing in Saturday's race. However, an incident on the track prevented another good result at the legendary Le Mans circuit. This is now to be introduced in the 2023 edition.

A record starting field of 58 vehicles is expected at the season highlight of the Michelin Le Mans Cup. In the LMP3 category, in which the Frikadelli Racing Team competes, there are 42 cars. The starting signal at the 13.6 km long circuit in western France will be given on Wednesday with two free practice sessions before the qualifying sessions for the two 55-minute races are scheduled for early Thursday afternoon. The first race takes place on Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m., the second race follows on Friday at 11:30 a.m. - everything is part of the supporting program of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is celebrating a very special anniversary with its 100th birthday.
