12h Nürburgring - Frikadelli Racing ahead of important race weekend in title fight

With the 12h Nürburgring, one of the most important race weekends of the year awaits the Frikadelli Racing team. At the season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, which this year is divided into two 6h races on Saturday and Sunday, "Jules" and Klaus Abbelen want to take home as many points as possible with the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in order to cement their lead in the standings in the AM championship of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring. They will again be supported by Felipe Fernandez Laser.
"The 12h Nürburgring will certainly bring a first preliminary decision in terms of the championship, as there are 1.5 times as many points to be earned in each of the two rounds compared to a normal 4h race due to the longer distance. So it will be more important than ever to stay flawless in order to be among the front runners on both days", says team boss Klaus Abbelen.
Frikadelli Racing finished all five rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season on the podium. Two victories, two second places and one third place are recorded for the team from Barweiler in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring so far. At the 12h Nürburgring, the aim is to build on this impressive consistency. In the overall standings, "Jules" and Klaus Abbelen are currently 21 points ahead of the runner-up.
On Saturday, 09.09.2023, qualifying will be held from 08:00 - 09:40. This will be followed by the first of two 6-hour races from 15:30 - 21:30. On Sunday, 10.09.2023, the second qualifying session will take place from 08:30 - 10:00 hrs, before the grid is sent on its way for another six hours from 12:00 - 18:00 hrs.
