First appearance for the new Ferrari 296 GT3 from Frikadelli Racing in the 'Green Hell'
13.03.2023
As part of the first round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) next weekend, the new #30 Ferrari 296 GT3 from Frikadelli Racing will celebrate its premiere on the Nordschleife. Felipe Laser and team manager Klaus Abbelen will share the wheel of the Italian sports car for the debut. “Jules” shares the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup with Hendrik von Danwitz.
“First of all, I very much hope that the event can take place as planned and that the snow will not suddenly return, as was the case with the test drives and set-up drives. At the start of the season we naturally want to collect as many test kilometers and data as possible with the new vehicle. At the same time, it is also important for us to get to know the individual team members of Rinaldi Racing better and to adapt to the new cross-team cooperation in the best possible way. I am very optimistic that the gears will mesh quickly and that we will harmonize well as a unit to push the Ferrari project forward," says team boss Klaus Abbelen.
While the test work is in the foreground with the #30 Ferrari 296 GT3, Frikadelli Racing wants to score as many points as possible for the AM classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring with the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup right away. Last year, the team from Barweiler already took a strong third place in the overall standings and was able to finish on the podium five times.
The starting signal for the first NLS season run will be on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. The race covers a distance of four hours and will be broadcast live.
