Next weekend, the 6h race will kick off the second half of the season in the Nürburgring long-distance series. For Frikadelli Racing, the final preparation phase for the 24h Nürburgring begins at the same time. The cult team of Sabine Schmitz and Klaus Abbelen will take the last test of toughness before the big season highlight with both Porsche 911 GT3 R and the Porsche Cayman GT4.
"We are extremely satisfied with the development work that we have been doing very intensively over the first four races of the season. From the setup, the vehicles are all very well tuned. At the 6h race it is important to confirm these positive impressions once again and to improve the last little details. At the same time, however, we are also aiming for a top result in the overall classification, in order to be able to enter the 24h race with a good feeling," explains team leader Klaus Abbelen.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R with the starting number 31 will be shared at the dress rehearsal by the two Porsche factory drivers Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen together with Jeroen Bleekemolen and Maxime Martin. Alex Müller and Lance David Arnold take turns with Klaus Abbelen on the "Pro-Am Vehicle" with the starting number 30.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 will also be back on the grid in the fifth round of the Nürburgring long-distance series. Here Hendrik von Danwitz and "Jules" reach for another podium finish in the Cup3 class.
The Qualifying will take place on Saturday from 8.30am to 10am. The 6h race will be released at 12 noon. Motorsport fans can follow the action in the live stream on www.vln.de.
