Season finale for Frikadelli Racing

01.11.2022

Next weekend, the 2022 motorsport season will come to an end for Frikadelli Racing with the catch-up race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Team boss Klaus Abbelen's team would like to say goodbye to the winter break with a good result and successfully defend third place in the drivers' championship of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring. "Jules" and Klaus Abbelen are currently 20 points ahead of fourth-placed in the championship table.

“Thanks to our strong results in the last two NLS rounds, we have put ourselves in a comfortable starting position ahead of the season finale to achieve our goal of being in the top three in the championship. Nevertheless, we have to do our best again this weekend to successfully defend our third place to the end - no matter what the weather is like at the Nürburgring. Above all, it will be important to find a better set-up than last time. For this we will use the test day on Friday accordingly, because every run is a new challenge in terms of data,” explains team boss Klaus Abbelen.

As usual, Abbelen will share the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup with “Jules” and Felipe Laser. So far, the team from Barweiler has a total of five podium places in the Pro-AM classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring, including one win, three second places and one third place.

On Saturday, November 5th, 2022, the 90-minute qualifying will take place as usual (8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.). The four-hour race will then start at 12:00 p.m. Both will be broadcast over the full length of the live stream of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.
