Summer break over - Frikadelli Racing ready for the Michelin Le Mans Cup in Aragon
21.08.2023
The summer break is over for Frikadelli Racing. Next weekend, the team from Barweiler will continue with the next stop of the season in the Michelin Le Mans Cup in Aragon, Spain. As usual, team principal Klaus Abbelen and Felipe Laser share the wheel of the #30 Ligier JS P320. With a total of 40 vehicles, the starting field will once again be packed to the brim.
“I have already driven the racetrack in Aragon twice with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. It is therefore not new territory for me, even if it is now a few years ago. We still don't have the experience on the course with the LMP3 vehicle, so it's important to make the best possible use of the free practice sessions in order to collect as much data as possible. After the difficult race weekend in Le Castellet, we want to get back on the road to success and achieve a good result in the top 10,” said Abbelen.
For the first time ever, the Michelin Le Mans Cup is holding a season round on the 3.321 km long circuit. On Thursday, two free practice sessions and the bronze test are on the agenda, followed by qualifying (10:50 - 11:05 a.m.) and the 110-minute race (5:40 - 7:30 p.m.) on Friday. Motorsport fans can follow the action live on the official homepage of the racing series (live.lemanscup.com) and the associated YouTube channel.
