VLN 2016: Race 10 (October 22th)

Frikadelli Racing finished VLN's season finale 6th. On a drying track, start driver Sabine Schmitz from Barweiler has handed the Porsche 911 GT3 R (991) on P10 over to Patrick Huisman (NL) after 10 laps. He continoued on intermediate tyres for mixed conditions, but fought an unwinable fight. Nine laps later, it was Norbert Siedler's turn who returned into the race on slicks. With a lap time of 8.02,674 min, the Austrian set fastest race lap again. After 27 laps, he crossed the line 7th, but the team was promoted to P6 due to a penalty for a competitor.
Janine Hill (GB), John Shoffner (USA) and Arno Klasen (Germany) managed to jump on the podium the 5th time this year, they finished P2. Thomas Leyherr (D) and Herbert von Danwitz (D) ended up in 10th position in the highly competitive BMW M235i one-make series. Because of a slight accident in practice they had to start as 17th from the end of the field.
