VLN 2016: Race 5 (July 15)

While German motorsport fans are looking forward to the World Endurance Championship race on the Nürburgring in one week’s time, they can enjoy fist class GT racing action on the “Ring” this weekend. This Saturday will see the fifth leg of the VLN series on the famous Nordschleife. Frikadelli Racing will start with the well-known driver line-up consisting of team owner Klaus Abbelen and Sabine Schmitz (both from Barweiler near the “Ring”), Patrick Huisman (NL) and Norbert Siedler (A). The quartet will take turns at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R (991). It remains to be seen if the “Meatball” can repeat the magnificent fourth place from the previous race.
